These changes are suggestions only
to minimise the risk of personal data, stored on local machines,
possibly being accessed, whilst using the Internet.
These steps are completed after changes have already been made to your default settings
within a Standard Windows Internet Explorer Browser installation. This procedure
is the same for each version with slight variances and is is part 2 of 2 parts.
If
you have not completed Part One configuration changes - then the steps
below will not be effective.

Part Two
After Each
Transaction Session Is Completed
When Using Microsoft Internet Explorer
This
procedure should be run immediately after completing transaction
sessions to
clear information just undertaken, using your new settings of
Part One.
Note

Users should be aware when using a computer or
a network - all internet information such as banking transactions may be retained on that computer or network including
your personal information which others may access or compromise.

This procedure is designed for additional
safety only - to clear information on your personal computer.

When
completing Internet banking transactions clearing -
NO
other programs should be
open
or in use,
at the same time as this will not enable clearing of such
information..
Therefore
with the above in mind, after completion of your transaction session,
the following steps should be completed EACH
and EVERY TIME transactions are completed.
Steps Each Time
-
Follow the nominated
financial web
site steps to
completely log out. Closing the web page is not logging out. Once
fully logged out
-
With
the Microsoft Internet Explorer browser still
open,
-
Press
the STOP button on the Internet tool bar
- to stop internet traffic

-
Press
Home button on the Internet tool bar.
-
The
page should return you to your home page which now should be “about
blank” page
At any time this does not occur you have been "hijacked"
-
On
the Menu Bar at the top, select TOOLS
-
Select
Internet options.

-
A
new window displaying Internet Options will open
-
This
window should already have the General Tab
selected
-
On
the General Tab - Click on Clear History - answer YES to clear
-
Directly
above select Delete Cookies and select
OK
-
Select
Delete Files
-
A
secondary window for all offline content
should be TICKED and select
OK

-
Select the Contents Tab at the top
-
Near
the bottom right select
Auto Complete

-
When
the new Auto Complete settings window appears - check that
Web addresses
is
un-ticked
Forms
is un-ticked
User names and passwords on forms
is un-ticked
-
Press
Clear Forms – ONLY
–

DO NOT PRESS “Clear
Passwords” button. Unless they
are known to you and you are prepared to re-enter each time.

Select
OK OK OK
to exit. Your
system should now be clear Close the Browser back to your Desktop.
These
steps will become simple to follow the more times they are completed.
Repeat these steps each and
every time you leave or exit your financial site. This will minimise the risk of your data being stored internally
(Cached) on your machine and
therefore reduce exposure when using the Internet from that machine.
